Ninjas in Pyjamas. Let’s go into the details of this matchup and see why was Karrigan’s team so superior from the second map on.
Here’s a rundown of the picks made by both teams:
First things first, this map was a close call for both teams. NIP started off with a good 4x0 lead, but that soon became a 10x5 in favor of Faze. As the second half progressed, NIP made clear that their CT side was the reason for this map pick – the Ninjas got an 11x4 score to close out the game in a tight 16x14.
Two players were the highlights of this map – hampus and headtr1ck. Being the two most impactful players on the server, they surely deserve credit for this first map of the series.
Here is where things crumbled for NIP. With only 21 rounds played, FaZe demolished their opponent with a comfortable 16x5 and secured the decider. For this map, ropz was definitely the most impactful player and, as the stats came, this became very clear. His ADR? 103.5. His HLTV Rating? A whopping 1.98… Who was the top fragger? Ropz, with 26 kills in 21 rounds. Convinced yet?
Coming into this decider having deleted NIP from Overpass, FaZe made sure to create a lead and enjoy the good momentum. Well, said and done… FaZe closed out the first half with a score of 11x4. NIP’s chance was winning the second pistol and come back from there, but that never happened. FaZe won the first 3 rounds on the T side and, after a 3 rounds taken, they managed to close the game. The final score was 16x7.
We can’t say that there was a star-player on Nuke as every player made a difference in their own way. With that said, we can only congratulate FaZe for the win.
