After another thrilling CS:GO ESL Pro League regular season, players are about to jump into the playoffs. April 5th is when things kick off and we’ll know the results after the final on the 10th.
So far, fans have seen some surprising results including a couple of teams we thought would be contenders for the overall win faltering and a couple of others exceeding expectations.
If you’re looking to place a bet, you’re going to want to make sure you’re putting your money in the right places. Check out our guide to the best CS:GO betting sites before you make any moves on that!
There’s a lot riding on these playoffs, by the way. Not only is there a whopping $175,000 up for grabs for the winner, but they’ll also get their hands on 2800 BLAST Premier points.
This is going to be a big one! How this tournament ends will have a big impact on the future of professional CS:GO eSports. So let’s take a look at some potential outcomes.
Throughout the CS:GO ESL Pro League Season 15 so far, one team has met their expectations of being one of the very best in the world and that is Natus Vincere, or NaVi for short.
They finished Group D at the top having won all five of their matches, defeating the likes of Heroic and Astralis in the process. In fact, NaVi is one of only two teams in the whole competition to win all five of their regular season matches, alongside Movistar Riders. And it’s not just the CS:GO ESL Pro League that NaVi has been performing well in. Before the league they’d been in fine form, establishing themselves as the ones to beat.
The Ukrainian and Russian team is made up of players s1mple, electroNIc, Boombl4 (the team captain), Perfecto, b1t and the coach b1ad3.
Want to put your money down on Natus Vincere? They’re certainly one of the hottest options in the world of CS:GO betting right now, so it wouldn’t be the worst idea.
Bet365 is one of the best CS:GO betting sites and they’re offering great odds at 5/4. But that’s not all. You can also get a 100% matched deposit worth up to $200 when you sign up for a new account.
At first glance, you might write the up and coming Swedish team Ninjas in Pyjamas off. At 8/1 according to Bet365, they might look like a bit of a long shot. But it’s not quite as simple as that. The team is currently sat at the top of Group A which is not to be sniffed at. They’re sat above a couple of big guns: G2 Esports and Fnatic have been inferior by comparison.
Ninjas in Pyjamas consists of players REZ, Plopski, hampus (the captain), es3tag, Brollan and the coach djL. They’ve also got stand-in player phzy on hand if required.
It would be a huge task for them to uproot the almighty NaVi, but Ninjas in Pyjamas have the wind in their sales and will be feeling pretty confident should they manage to make it all the way to the final.
Cast your eyes over the results for Group C and you’ll notice a team at the top that not many in the world of professional eSports often consider. Movistar Riders have an impeccable tournament so far, completely undefeated as yet.
At 30/1, many will think that they’re way out of the equation. But Movistar are in a position where they have nothing to lose, so you just never know in situations like these! That’s the beauty of eSports. Sometimes, the craziest things happen. If you fancy a low cost and potentially very profitable punt, this could be the ultimate outsider bet.
The potential to establish yourself as maybe the biggest CS:GO team in the world, win a bunch of BLAST Premier points and a whole ton of cash? No pressure then. But there’s no doubt
