During the first Bo3 for the opening round of Blast Premier Fall Groups, Complexity faced Ninjas in Pyjamas where EliGE, the new addition to Col’s roster, racked up a total of 71 kills in the series. His incredible performance inside the server was a deciding factor for Col to get the W. Let’s dive deeper into this match.
The maps picked for this series were quite interesting, choices that could have meant a loss for Complexity if it wasn’t for EliGE’s performance.
The first pick was Col’s, and they ended up choosing Inferno. This caught everyone off-guard since this is arguably the worst map for Col, in terms of performance in the past few months. Although the scoreboard was tight, NIP ended up closing the map with a 16x14 – for some, the game was over at this very moment.
Even though it seemed unlikely, Complexity kept their hopes high and it eventually paid off when they closed the map with a rather comfortable 16x12. One thing is for sure, k0nfig gave his best – with 27 kills and a 1.46 rating, but that wasn’t enough.
For the decider, Overpass was the map left open by both teams. Here, with the momentum from Nuke, EliGE showed up and carried the game almost on his own. He got the most kills (28), the highest ADR (101.4), the most amount of first kills (7), and, not surprisingly, the best Rating of all 10 players (1.50).
We gathered the data (out of all 3 maps) from the best and worst players from both teams. Here’s what it looks like:
What’s next?
With the victory in the bag, Complexity moves to the Upper bracket of the Group and will face Vitality this Saturday. NIP, on the other hand, drops to the lower bracket and will face EG, also this Saturday. No one’s able to predict what will happen in both games, but we’ll be sure to let you know the outcomes.
