DPC North America Tour 1 Finals Begin This Weekend!

As the Dota Pro Circuit heats up, let’s cover what’s to come with the Regional Finals

The Dota Pro Circuit has been a staple in the pro Dota scene and has become one of the most prestigious Dota tournaments of all time. Established in 2017, it operates as a round-robin system.

Every team in the Dota Pro Circuit will play the other, and the teams that rack up the most points will earn an invitation to the annual Invitation tournament. It’s a worldwide tournament that is split into six different regions:

• Eastern Europe
• Western Europe
• Southeast Asia
• North America
• South America
• China.

Each region is split into divisions based on the teams' capabilities, with Division 1 being the higher end and Division 2 being the lower end.

Four teams each qualify from Western Europe and China, three each from Eastern Europe and South-East Asia, and two each from North America and South America.

Of those eighteen, the lower ranking six will compete in the Wild Card stage, where the top two teams advance to the group stage.

The group stage is composed of two groups of eight. The top two ranking teams in each group advance to the upper bracket of the Playoffs, and the third to sixth ranking teams advance to the lower bracket of the Playoffs. The Playoffs are then composed of a double-elimination format.

Group stage winner

The DPC North America 2022 regionals will be decided this weekend, but elsewhere, the DPC is getting fully underway.

The winner of the DPC South East Asia was a shocker, to say the least, and we believe this team could become a threat in the overall International. Boom eSports shocked the world by defeating T1 on Tuesday and cemented their place as SPC DEA Regional Champions.

Their squad has always been strong, and when it comes to the DPC North regional final, the North American participants are sure to face a tough challenge when they come up against BOOM eSports.

Conclusion

All things considered, we think the smart money would be backing the Quincy Crew. But, despite Evil Geniuses being inconsistent this season, when they delivered, they knocked it out of the park. But, that’s the beauty of the DPC North America 2022.
