After an early leave at IEM Cologne,
Heroic
is now looking to find its way through to the trophy for Gamers8 2023 – a tournament that’s taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. With yesterday’s win against
Falcons, the team is one step closer to that goal.
Here we’ll take a look at how Heroic managed the W against the Europeans. So, if that’s something that catches your eye, stick with us!

Mirage
Even though Falcons is not even in the top 100 teams (at least according to HLTV), they managed to put some pressure on Heroic in this first map. In fact, Falcons did start off in the lead and was able to stick with it until the second pistol round.
The scoreboard for Falcons and Heroic for the first two halves were 9x6 and 6x9, respectively. This led to Mirage going to overtime…
After the 6 rounds traded, the game went to the second overtime, which was where Heroic was able to get a good sequence on the underdogs. A 4x0 in the second OT was enough to seal the deal on Mirage.

Nuke
Like Mirage, Nuke was a rather close map – at least in the first half of the game. With many traded rounds, the scoreboard for the first half closed out on an 8x7 in favor of
Heroic. This was quite a surprise since Nuke was Heroic’s map pick, which led everyone to think that it would be a fast GG.
Despite the good start,
Falcons
was not able to keep the momentum going, and
cadiaN, the star player of this map, was able to carry
Heroic
