Do you want to freeze and slow down your enemies in Black Ops 6 Zombies? A Cryo Freeze ammo mod is just what you need!
There are six Cryo Freeze augments available - three Major Augments and three Minor Augments. We’ll look at all of these, show you how to get them, and give you our advice on the best ones to use for maximum impact.
Cryo Freeze is an icy ammo modification that freezes your enemies in BO6 Zombies. When it hits, it will slow down, and potentially even eliminate zombies.
There are three Minor Augments and three Major Augments for Cryo Freeze. When used in combination, these can be super effective, especially for zombie crowd control.
There are six Cryo Freeze Augments for this mod in BO6 Zombies, so let’s take a closer look at them:
➕ Major Augment | 👍 Effect |
---|---|
Big Game | Freezes and significantly slows all zombies, including Elite Zombies. |
Ice Cloud | Eliminated frozen enemies evaporate into a cloud that slows more zombies. |
Frozen Stiff | Completely freezes zombies in place rather than just slowing them. |
Here are the effects of each of the three Major Augments of Cryo Freeze:
Now let’s take a look at what each of the three Minor Augments does:
Once you’ve gotten your hands on Cryo Freeze (see below), and have activated it, you can select one Major Augment and one Minor Augment. The Cryo Freeze is then applied to your ammo, and if it works, will take effect on any zombies that the bullet hits.
If you want our advice, Ice Cloud and Liquid Nitrogen is the most effective Major + Minor Augment combo.
The Ice Cloud potentially has a knock-on impact that will slow down other zombies beyond those you actually hit. This is ideal for crowd control, which is key in BO6 Zombies.
Liquid Nitrogen, meanwhile, significantly boosts the chances of actually activating Cryo Freeze, giving more of your bullets the potential to land the Ice Cloud. If you want to slow the zombies and thin the crowds, these are the two Cryo Freeze ammo mod augments that you need.
You might see it pop up when streaming pro esports matches on one of our top-rated Call of Duty betting sites. For now though, we want to tell you how you can get and use this powerful ammo mod.
The only place that you can find Cryo Freeze is in Arsenal Machines. However, it is a rare loot, and you’ll need to unlock it first and spend Salvage to get your hands on it.
To unlock this powerful ammo mod, you must first reach Level 14. You then need to find an Arsenal Machine and spend 500 Salvage to collect the mod.
There is an alternative way to get the mod, but it’s pretty unlikely. If you drink Elemental Pop soda, you will get a random ammo mod, which could be Cryo Freeze. However, the chances of this happening are pretty slim.
Though it is one of the best, Cryo Freeze isn’t the only ammo mod available in BO6 Zombies. There are six ammo mods in total, so before you go, here’s a quick rundown of each one and its unlock level:
▶️ Ammo Mod | 🔓 Unlock Level |
---|---|
Dead Wire | Level 0 |
Napalm Burst | Level 6 |
Cryo Freeze | Level 14 |
Brain Rot | Level 27 |
Shadow Rift | Level 44 |
Light Mend | Unlocked with the Merry Mayhem Event |
