What is Cryo Freeze in BO6 Zombies?
Cryo Freeze is an icy ammo modification that freezes your enemies in BO6 Zombies. When it hits, it will slow down, and potentially even eliminate zombies.
There are three Minor Augments and three Major Augments for Cryo Freeze. When used in combination, these can be super effective, especially for zombie crowd control.

Major Augments
Here are the effects of each of the three Major Augments of Cryo Freeze:

Any enemies that are eliminated after being frozen evaporate into a cloud that can freeze and slow down more zombies.
- Frozen Stiff:
This augment freezes the zombies in place completely, rather than merely slowing them down.
Minor Augments
Now let’s take a look at what each of the three Minor Augments does:
- Extension:
Gives a small increase to the duration of the Cryo Freeze effect (i.e. the zombies will be slowed down/frozen stiff for longer).
- Freezer Burn:
Boosts the damage inflicted on zombies when you use Cryo Freeze.
- Liquid Nitrogen:
Gives you a better chance of activating Cryo Freeze
How to use Cryo Freeze?
Once you’ve gotten your hands on Cryo Freeze (see below), and have activated it, you can select one Major Augment and one Minor Augment. The Cryo Freeze is then applied to your ammo, and if it works, will take effect on any zombies that the bullet hits.
Ice Cloud and Liquid Nitrogen - The winning combo

To unlock this powerful ammo mod, you must first reach Level 14. You then need to find an Arsenal Machine and spend 500 Salvage to collect the mod.
There is an alternative way to get the mod, but it’s pretty unlikely. If you drink Elemental Pop soda, you will get a random ammo mod, which could be Cryo Freeze. However, the chances of this happening are pretty slim.
