Apex Care Package Weapons: Season 25 rotation

Key Points
  • The Care Package pool in Season 25 isn’t huge, but every weapon in it hits way harder than before.
  • The Triple Take’s faster charge-up and added shield buff make it way more useful for aggressive pushes, not just long-range pokes like before.
  • Even with just three guns in the crate, they’re shifting how squads move, when they rotate, and which fights they actually want to take.

Apex Legends Season 25: Care Package Weapons and Why They Matter

I was playing Apex the other night and saw a Care Package drop way off to the side. Nobody pinged it, but you could tell everyone noticed. We all sort of drifted toward it like “let’s just see what’s in there.” Classic Apex moment.

The Apex Care Package weapons this season are wild. They’ve changed again for Season 25, and the stuff they’ve added, or brought back, can really swing a fight. I’ve been keeping tabs on what’s inside since the season started, so here’s the lineup right now and why it’s messing with how people approach fights.

How Apex Care Package drops work this season

First things first, let’s clear up what’s even in these Apex care packages. Not every drop contains a legendary, meta-warping murder machine.

The first few Care Packages carry the season’s Gold Fully‑Kitted rotation (Bocek Bow, Hemlok, Longbow, Mastiff, Wingman in Split 1). They’re nice early upgrades but not the high‑powered crate guns. Good, but not game-breaking.

After that, the real crate guns start showing up. And once they’re in the crate, they don’t spawn anywhere else. If you want the Triple Take, Peacekeeper, or Kraber this season, you’ve got to fight for the box. Skirmisher Legends (like Pathfinder, Horizon, or Wraith) can also scan unopened crates from range, which is huge.

What changed in the Season 25 rotation

Season 25 (“Prodigy”) dropped on May 6, and we got our first big weapon shake-up right away.

🔄️ Launch rotation
  • Triple Take entered the crate pool.
  • Havoc and Bocek Compound Bow returned to floor loot.

Triple Take going crate-only turned some heads, especially for snipers. Havoc’s return to the floor with reduced recoil was a welcome shift for players who’d missed its beam potential.

💡 Mid-season update

Then in late June, right around the start of Split 2, the Peacekeeper got pulled into the crate pool, replacing the R-99.

R‑99 briefly occupied the Care Package at the February 11, 2025 patch, but moved back to floor loot when the Peacekeeper entered the crate for Split 2. So it's not in the current Gold rotation. That swap shifted the close-range meta more than people expected on Apex betting sites.

Current Care Package weapons in Season 25

Right now, there are three Apex Care Package weapons in active rotation. Each one’s had its stats juiced for the crate. No default versions exist on the ground. Here’s what you’re working with:

Triple Take

This isn’t the Triple Take you remember from the energy-weapon days. The crate version is dialed up.

  • Damage per shot: 23 (up from 22)
  • Faster rate of fire
  • Faster choke time
  • Gun Shield Generator attached

That last one, Gun Shield, is huge. It gives you a bit of frontal damage resistance while ADS-ing, letting you take longer peeks and line up those charged shots without instantly melting to return fire. Especially strong when you’re holding high ground or long sightlines mid-rotation.

It’s also worth noting that this gun plays more like a railgun now. It rewards timing and placement more than pure spray-and-pray. The quicker choke time helps, but you’ll still want to pair it with a close-range option.

Triple Take

Kraber

The Kraber hasn’t left the crate in forever, and it’s still the final boss of snipers.

  • Damage per shot: 150 (was 140 last season)
  • Headshot damage: 210

It’s not quite the one-shot god of early Apex years (especially with red shields being common now), but if you land a headshot on anything under full health, it’s usually a wrap. Teams still panic when they hear a Kraber fire. It completely changes how people approach sightlines and open spaces, especially in final circles. There’s a reason teams will bait each other into peeking just to draw that gunfire and spot who's holding it.

Apex Kraber

Peacekeeper

This one’s the newest entry, and it’s terrifying in the right hands.

  • Pellet damage: 12 (up from 9)
  • Max headshot damage: 135 (if all pellets hit)
  • Tighter full choke
  • Faster choke time
  • Piercing shots (deals 50 % of base damage to enemies behind the first)

That last part, pierce, is the most game-changing. In tight fights, especially around doors or corridors, the Peacekeeper can hit two or even three people with a single shot if they’re lined up.  It’s also just… devastating. If you’ve ever taken a full choke Peacekeeper blast to the chest with purple armor and watched your screen fade to black instantly, you know the feeling.

Apex crate weapon summary

Here’s a snapshot of what each crate weapon brings to the game right now:

Current Care Package Weapon Summary (Season 25)

🔫 Weapon 💡 Key Crate Buffs
Triple Take Faster choke, 23 base damage, Gun Shield Generator for frontal protection
Kraber 150 body / 210 headshot damage, crate-exclusive power sniper with game-changing impact
Peacekeeper 12 damage per pellet, piercing rounds (50% damage behind first enemy), 135 max headshot damage, faster choke

Tips for grabbing (and surviving) crate weapons

Some basic reminders from someone who’s grabbed more than a few of these and regretted none of them:

1️⃣ Check for the scan

If you’ve got a Skirmisher, don’t ignore the Apex Care Package icon, scan it. Knowing what’s inside lets you avoid contests you don’t want. Or plan the ambush if someone else gets greedy.

2️⃣ Watch the timing

The first Care Packages drop Gold Fully Kitted ground loot. Crate guns only show up after that wave. So don’t expect a Peacekeeper in the first 5 minutes of a match.

3️⃣ Ammo is included, but not infinite

Crate guns spawn with a limited amount of their special ammo. It’s enough for a few fights, but if you’re whiffing shots or trying to snipe people across the map, you’ll burn through it fast.

Season 25 hasn’t overloaded the crate pool, but what’s in there hits hard. The Triple Take feels way more relevant with its faster choke and Gun Shield buff. The Peacekeeper is back to ending fights in one blast if you’re stacked behind a door. And the Kraber is still the one gun that’ll make any lobby pause for a second.

These three guns alone have shifted how teams approach mid-game loot, rotate across maps, and plan endgame fights. Don’t ignore a Care Package just because you’re kitted, what’s inside might swing the next three fights.
