Klondike Solitaire Turn 3 is one of my favorite games online, but when I saw that it is not available in sweepstakes casinos, I was disappointed. That was, until I learned of alternatives for the same game on other sites.
Some of these sweepstakes casinos include RealPrize, Stake.us, McLuck, MegaBonanza, and Jackpota. In this review, I’ll walk you through what each of these sweepstakes casinos has to offer in place of Klondike Solitaire Turn 3. I’ll also show you how to play the game if you’re hearing about it for the first time. Let’s begin!
Klondike Solitaire Turn 3 is another variation of the classic solitaire game. Sometimes, it's referred to as Triple Klondike Solitaire Turn 3, or Klondike 3-card Solitaire. It’s called this because instead of drawing one card from the stockpile, you draw three, which makes the game more difficult. Therefore, you’d need to be more strategic as you play.
However, if you’ve played Klondike Solitaire Turn One, Klondike Solitaire Turn 3 has the same objective. The goal of the game is to fill up the four foundation piles by suit in ascending order from Ace to King. To achieve this, you’ll need to transfer all cards from the tableau and stock piles to the foundation pile.
Here’s a summary of what these terms mean:
| Klondike Solitaire Turn 3 feature | Description |
| Suit | Hearts, diamonds, spades, and clubs |
| Foundation pile | Four empty piles categorized by suit |
| Tableau | Consists of seven columns of cards, where you build the sequence to fill the foundation pile |
| Stock pile | Holds the remaining cards not included in the tableau |
The game begins with the foundation piles empty and 28 cards in the tableau. For the tableau, each card column holds the same number as the column it represents. That is, column 1 has one card, column 2 has two, and so on, up to column 7.
Only the first card of each column is faced up, while the rest are faced down, unlike Freecell Solitaire, where all cards are dealt faced up. On the tableau, you’ll need to arrange the cards in descending order from King to Ace. Likewise, when sequencing the cards, you must alternate between colors, starting with red and then black.
For example, on a red King, you must place a black Queen, followed by a red Jack, and continue in this manner. If you run out of cards to sequence on the tableau, you can draw out three cards from the stockpile. Only the top card can be moved to the foundation or tableau pile before accessing the other two.
These are just basic techniques that could be pivotal in giving you a chance to win in your gaming sessions. So make sure to play it smart and responsibly at all times, which should help you get a chance at winning in multiple rounds. Just remember – there are no guarantees for players to win, so set some limits while you’re at it.
Although Klondike Turn 3 Solitaire is an engaging and exciting game, it still has some shortcomings. Here’s an overview:
One of the reasons I enjoy Klondike Solitaire Turn 3 is that I get to play it for free online. Seeing as sweepstakes casinos allow you to enjoy games without an initial purchase, I decided to check out a few to play this game.
However, after exploring some top sweepstakes casinos, I was disappointed to find that it wasn’t available at any of them. Moreover, I couldn’t find the free classic solitaire game either. It was a bummer at first, but as I explored these sites, I found other engaging card games.
The top sweepstakes casinos to enjoy 3 Turn Klondike Solitaire alternatives are:
At RealPrize, I was welcomed with 100,000 Gold Coins and 2 Sweeps Coins. Besides the welcome bonus, I topped up my balance daily by claiming 5,000 Gold Coins and 0.3 Sweep Coins each time I logged into my account.
One thing I liked about RealPrize was the variety of card games it had. I found both table and live card games. Some notable card games include Texas Hold’em Poker, Multi-Hand Blackjack, and Grand Bonus Baccarat.
However, my best card game at RealPrize was Oasis Poker Classic. This game also consists of 52 cards, like Klondike Turn 3 Solitaire. Also, it's just you and the dealer, making it ideal for solo play. Plus, the game is played on a green table. The background reminded me of playing Green Felt - Klondike Solitaire Turn 3, which is on a green background.
Stake.us is one of America’s leading sweepstakes casinos. Unfortunately, like most sweepstakes casinos, it also doesn’t offer Klondike 3-card Solitaire. However, my frown quickly turned into a smile when I saw the number of games Stake.us has. It even has its own original titles.
By using a promo code STFSOCIAL, I received 560,000 Gold Coins, 56 Stake Cash, and 5% Rakeback when I logged in for 30 consecutive days. With its sizable welcome bonus, I tested out a bunch of games, including card games.
For card games, I started with Stake Blackjack and Stake Hilo. These games had low house edges, which initially drew me to them. Stake Blackjack had a low house edge of 0.57% and Stake Hilo had a house edge of 1%. I also tried out some scratch card games such as Summer Scratch and Balloons, developed by Hacksaw Gaming.
After signing up at McLuck, you’ll receive 7,500 Gold Coins and 2.5 Sweepstakes Coins. Though McLuck doesn’t offer Klondike 3-card Solitaire, I was impressed with its live blackjack games.
My personal favorites are McLuck’s 7 Seats Blackjack, Blackjack Rush Elite, and Blackjack Rush Gold. These are all exclusive McLuck games developed by ICONIC21. Other non-exclusive blackjack games I played were Gravity Blackjack and Grand Bonus Blackjack.
Another thing I liked about McLuck was that I could play these games conveniently on my phone. McLuck has apps for both Android and iOS, allowing players to enjoy the games on the go.
MegaBonanza doesn’t have many card games in its lobby. Though I found two live card games, Grand Bonus Blackjack and Gravity Blackjack. Though it’s not like Klondike Solitaire Turn 3, as they are both multiplayer card games.
I really liked how easily I could chat with other players while playing Gravity Blackjack and Grand Bonus Blackjack. Although I prefer flying solo, the inclusion of other players made playing the games more fun and exciting. If you prefer dice games, you can try Sic Bo or opt for fast-paced games like Crash Live.
To start enjoying these games, MegaBonanza grants 7,500 Gold Coins and 2.5 Sweepstakes Coins after you sign up. You’ll also receive a daily bonus every time you log in to your account.
After you sign up at Jackpota, you can claim 7,500 Gold Coins and 2.5 Sweepstakes Coins. Still, Klondike Solitaire Turn 3 isn’t here; however, I found options to scratch my solitaire itch.
My favorite live card games were Top Card, Speed Blackjack, and Gravity Blackjack. Plus, they loaded quickly, with no glitches as I streamed them.
After playing some live card games for a while, I switched to some live game shows. I had fun playing Spin a Win, Adventures Beyond Wonderland, and Buffalo Blitz Live.
Even though Klondike Solitaire Turn 3 wasn’t available at top sweepstakes casinos, I could still enjoy other card game alternatives. Like Solitaire, which involves strategy as you play, you’ll also need strategies and tips to help you enjoy these games. I’ve outlined some tips that helped me play these games wisely:
At sweepstakes casinos, you are given two virtual currencies: Gold Coins (GC) and Sweepstakes Coins (SC). GC is used for fun play only, and as such, you can use it to explore games. SC, on the other hand, can be used to redeem real prizes such as vouchers, gift cards, or even cash. Because of this, I always start with my GC first to understand the gameplay mechanics before entering games in promotional mode.
When I explore new games using my Gold Coins or Sweepstakes Coins, I always start with options that have a low GC or SC entry. This helps me avoid quickly burning through my virtual currencies and allows me to understand how the game actually works. Think of it like working through a tough tableau pile one move at a time. That’s exactly how I approach these games. Once I’ve gotten a good feel for the mechanics and pace, I gradually increase my GC or SC entry.
With promotions come extra virtual currencies to prolong your gameplay. RealPrize, Stake.us, McLuck, MegaBonanza, and Jackpota offer various promotions to keep you engaged. You’ll often see purchase deals, referral rewards, daily rewards, social media contests, and more, which grant more virtual currencies. For instance, RealPrize gave me 5000 GC + 0.3 SC as a daily bonus.
Just as my review has pointed out, Klondike Solitaire Turn 3 isn’t available at top sweepstakes casinos. However, RealPrize, Stake.us, McLuck, MegaBonanza, and Jackpota offer worthy card games, such as baccarat, poker, and blackjack, that’ll scratch your solitaire itch.
Some even offered the same solo gameplay as Klondike Solitaire Turn 3, and come in different variants. Moreover, some of the games also had live versions, where you can chat with a live dealer and other players. These features made these games equally fun and engaging.
Click one of the banners here if you want to explore Klondike Solitaire Turn 3 alternatives at Real Prize, Stake.us, McLuck, MegaBonanza, or Jackpota.
In Klondike Solitaire Turn 3, three cards are drawn at once from the stockpile instead of one, like the regular solitaire.
At the moment, there aren’t sweepstakes casinos that offer Klondike Solitaire Turn 3. However, top sweepstakes casinos like Real Prize, Stake.us, McLuck, MegaBonanza, and Jackpota offer alternatives, including baccarat, poker, and blackjack.
Yes! You can play these alternatives for free at Real Prize, Stake.us, McLuck, MegaBonanza, and Jackpota without making an initial Gold Coin pack purchase.
