If it’s any other number, this is when the mini game starts and you are making the pick that the initial dice roll will be rolled again before a 7 is rolled. Don’t Pass (Don’t Come)

Taking the Odds

This interesting side play is one where you are picking that the shooter is going to get a prize after the point (initial dice roll value) has been set.
