Well, you ain't alone. Here's some other folks who keep a finger on the pulse of the way folks talk. Let's just hope they washed that finger first... Be sure to clue us in if any of these links have expired, or if you know a good one that we missed.

The New Hacker's Dictionary
This is the best web version of "The Jargon File" we've found so far. It's a catalogue of the original techgeek speak, its origins most likely going back to MIT in the early sixties. We're talking serious propeller-head lingo, so it's not likely to convince someone not to try out their new taser on your ass.

WIRED Jargon Watch
These guys tend to lean towards Korporate Kulture slang, and run a random selection of six to eight words each issue. The problem is, WIRED organizes its site just like the magazine, by issue. This link takes you to the earliest "Jargon Watch" in their archives. To hop directly to the next, change the issue number in the URL and hit return. Issues are numbered X.YY Where X=the year number and YY=the month. .01 is January, .02 is February, etc. (They are up to 4.01 now...) What could be simpler? Dipshits couldn't be bothered to archive this stuff in a way that makes sense...

Silicon Valley Slang
This page is maintained by our good buddy Steve Sabram. He's worked in the field since before it was first plowed. If someone says it near a motherboard, Steve's heard it.

Very cool site for keeping up on not-so-cyber slang. Better still, they have Alt. Dictionaries for dozens of languages, so if you want to learn how to say "cunnilingus" in Serbo-Croatian, this is your best bet.
